What is the name of the story about a woman being buried alive in a brick wall?

Micki,

I suspect you are speaking of "The Black Cat". However, the woman was not alive but had been killed accidentally. Based on the criteria given, I cannot recall such a tale, except one other possibility. This was "The Fall of the House of Usher" but Madeline was not "walled up" but rather placed in her tomb prematurely. Sorry.

Regards,

Is it possible your thinking of Fortunato in The Cask of Amontillado? He's the only one I recall being buried alive. Just a thought. Tim

In addition to The Cask of Amontillado, there is The Fall of the House of Usher and The Premature Burial.
