Nice to see Andy Griffin come through last night's England U21's game against the all-conquering Italian U21's, well I didn't actually see him come through unscathed, because of the fog which forced the ref to abandon the match.

He was on the far side of the pitch and on the telly I could only see to the centre circle!!!

a bit of a farce wasn't it? The only time I heard his name on the commentary was followed by the phrase "lost his man". Not at all surprising!

How they ever thought they were going to start that match is beyond me. I suppose the local TV station and Sky collaborated to pressurise the ref into attempting to start the match.

Oh yeh I think Griffin misplaced a pass as well, so in reality he had a 5 minute shocker!!

Atleast he didn't get injured this time.

Strange thing about the game was that it wasn't advertised on Sky or in any of the newspapers. It must have been a last minute thing.

I tuned in for the novlety factor of listening to the comentators try to comentate on something they couldn't see.
