Homemade ornament exchange

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

All this talk of Christmas decorating has me excited about Christmas. Since many of us have made some of our own decorations, is anyone interested in an ornament exchange?

Something homemade or hand-decorated to hang on the tree.

Email me with your address and I will send you an address to send your ornament to. I will email it by Thanksgiving and then send out the ornament ASAP.

Amy, wow! What a neat idea! I'm in, I'll e-mail you my address. Don't know what I'm making this year, but doing an exchange will be fun. I didn't have a tree last year (too many young cats!) but I've been thinking about setting one up this year. Now I will for sure!

I need to clarify my post a little. I was thinking about an ornament round robin, not just exchanging with me. I guess I didn't really type clearly!

I was going to collect the addresses of all of those interested and then send you a name of someone to send an ornament to. Some other person would be sending you an ornament.

Someone suggested each of us sending ornaments to everyone on the list (currently five) but I think the postage might get kind of high doing it that way if the list grows.

I think it would be a lot of fun with a ton of participants! Come on sign up. (Even you handy guys!)

Wish I had time this year .We should remember this for say July of next year to get it started.

I like that idea too!! I would be willing to do several as swaps if anybody is interested. If ornaments are kept small it would only cost .33 cents each. Keep me posted.

I'm also interested in doing this with a group of 5 to 10 of you.I figure the cost to bubble wrap and put in a mailer or put in a checkbook box would be under 1.00 postage, based on seeds and plants I've mailed & received.I make natural ornaments and send to family. This year I think it will be pod santas, and I could make a few extra for you all.

Just wanted to say a very belated thankyou to all of the ladies that exchanged gifts with me last year, and I hope we can do it again this year! Thankyou again! Sissy
