Hello Andre,

I have 2 questions. The first is: How is it with your injury? Because you didn't play against Willem 11. And the second is: I am a big fan of you. Do you have signetures of somthing for me? I hope so. But youb are a fantastic player and you take the best penaltys all over the world.

From Ajax Netwerk: André Bergdølmo has announced that - if Norway qualifies for Euro 2004 - the tournament in Portugal will mark the end of his career for Norway. The 31 year-old defender has been a starter for Norway for many years. His contract with Ajax also expires in the summer of 2004. Bergdølmo did not say that what he will do after that. It is uncertain whether he will call it quits in 2004.

Nice one: yesterday night (Saturday, January 04), André Bergdølmo was presented the Kniksen Trophy for Norwegian Player Of The Year! He won the title during the annual football gala in Norway, finishing ahead of Manchester United's Solskjær and Viking Stavanger's Hangeland. The 31 year-old Ajax defender won the Dutch championship and the Amstel Cup with Ajax, reached the second group stage of the Champions League with Ajax and played almost every game for the Norwegian national team.

Cheers, André!

Welcome back André!

He was in the line-up against his former club, after having been out for a while due to a form-crisis. But there he was again: cold as ice, solid as rock, always winning his duels, always calmly looking and then going for the simplest (and best) option. Was it a coincidence that the Rosenborg coach replaced two of his strikers before half-time? And that Ajax kept its own nets clean for the first time since 14 September (FC Zwolle, 2-0)?

This was "last season's" André Bergdølmo - and it's good to have him back. Now we've seen he's playing well again, there is no way why we should play with Pasanen or Yakubu as a central defender alongside Chivu. André should play at the feyenerds, too!

Ajax will have to miss out on André Bergdølmo in today's game in Arnhem. He is not yet fully recovered from the injury, due to which he was replaced last week against FC Utrecht. Almost certainly, Petri Pasanen will replace Bergdølmo in central defence.

I have to correct the report I just podted in the Van der Vaart thread... Just like Van der Vaart, André Bergdølmo has also turned down the invitation from his national coach for Norway vs Holland. The Norwegian had to be replaved during last Sunday's Ajax vs FC Utrecht game, due to an injured thigh-muscle. He believes he can play against Vitesse on Sunday, but doesn't want a midweek game. Ajax is his absolute priority, he said.

André has improved alot through the season, he has proven that he is one of the best defenders in Holland at moment and iam sure he will keep on improving.. Go ANDRÉ YOU CAN DO IT.. PS. Til dere i Norge som jobber i VG, Dagbladet eller noen annen avis har ikke peiling på fotball,, Solkjær er god men han kan ikke være best i hver kamp det er det ingen som er...

Another great performance yesterday from one of Ajax's unsong heroes. He just seems to get better and better. Great timing in his tackles and his distribution is improving all of the time.

So, Petri Pasanen's gone for a month or three as well...

Bad, bad, bad luck for Ajax the past couple days. I feel very sorry for Petri, but I have to say I feel good for someone, too. His name: André Bergdølmo, who will now play against Roda and he really, really deserves that new chance in Ajax-1. I think Bergdølmo played very well in the first games of last season, but then Co moved him to the left back and later to right back.

André is *not* a left back, and he had *never* played as a right back before. He just doesn't belong there and was not bought for that position, either. He didn't play well there, lost his spot in the team to Pasanen and has basically been out of the picture since. A shame, since I remember very well how good he was as a central defender.

He can show us that tomorrow. The defense line will probably consist of Trabelsi, Bergdølmo, Chivu and Maxwell - and I have to say that quartet looks much more reliable to me than a defense with Yakubu and Pasanen in the centre. Recently, I started having serious doubt about Petri Pasanen (I'm sure Rich Savare will agree here...) and I think Bergdølmo deserved the chance to show that he can do better.

Now he'll get that chance, although - of course - I'm not insinuating that I'm glad that Petri broke a middle foot bone. Losing a member of the A-squad for three months is *never* good - and it's a small tragedy for Petri himself.

Soccer365 reports: Defender Bergdolmo will stay at AJAX. The article goes on,"Dutch side AJAX received a present in the form of the news that defender Andre bergdolmo has decided to stay with the club. The development comes after AJAX secured a place in next season Champions league". The story quotes Bergdolmo as saying "of course I will stay now.I have spoken to the coach,Co Adrianse, and he told me i had to get back to top form if i wanted to be in the side.I am pleased with his answer, so I will stay(NOTE :GLAD SOMEONE OVER 25 IS HAPPY WITH CO!!)."

Yes, André. Geir is absolutely right. What have you got to say about this?

(I would love to hear these words pronounced by a tall, blond Norgwegian woman. I would melt on the spot.)
