greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

I've sent you an e-mail, but I'm not sure if you'll get it in time...Can you push me in the right direction for the following question:

Prove that the popularity of Edgar Allan Poe's work endures by using at least one prose piece and one poetry piece.

Please help!!! I don't even know what prose means...:)

Sincerely, Amanda

Amanda, I'm sure the one prose piece is referring to anything with out rhyme or meter such as a short story or novel. Try Ray Bradbury's "The Coffin". A simple connection with "The Cask of Amontillado", reaching out to the claustrophobic in all of us. I'm not much into poetry so youBre on your own there. Hope that helps.
