First picture OK. Picture of wee Bobby wont display (MS Explorer). By heck this sounds bloody complicated, but as defending champion I suppose I'd better have a go. Do you want a mail now of the teams or have we got a bit of time. I'd intended to let Pilgrim junior have a go this time, but as he's in England still and I'm stuck in bloody Germany I suppose I'll have to try myself. Thanks in advance for another exciting and bloody frustrating season. I hope the blood pressure can stand it!

Plenty of time. Reckon it'll take a while to drum up enough interest to make it viable - especially with our sparkling form in the league ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 13, 2000

Brilliant! I'll look forward to the usual humiliation and endless away fixtures ;-))

-- Anonymous, November 13, 2000

I'm still demanding a full recount of last season's results before we proceed with another one.

-- Anonymous, November 13, 2000

I'm taking legal action to stop any further hand counts.

-- Anonymous, November 13, 2000

I demand a re-vote!

Will have to check out the new and improved league at some point later this week. what's the deadline for entries?

And that photo of YBW is ADORABLE!!!

I'm glad you made it so much easier to understand this season. Retirement is starting to look more desireable. I could get used to becomming "Comfortably Numb". But I will give it my best shot. Boom boom.

Young Bobby picture received loud and clear at work. Definitely No 9 potential!

-- Anonymous, November 14, 2000

I'm gonna take full advantage of my alcohol fueled state (not Florida) and pick a well balanced team this time round. Relying on the old 95/96 fixtures cost the All Boys a chance of the big time - and as manager I take full responsibility. Being of the Peter Reid/Bryan Robson mould, however, I refuse to quit.

I still haven't got a life so the Greens (myself & Elliot) are more than willing to expose our weaknesses again. I appear to be having a problem getting e mail at present but keeping in touch seems to OK

-- Anonymous, November 19, 2000

So Softie,

Did you get me team selection? If there is a problem with it, you'd better send me the official version, and yes I do have Excel.

Thanks very much. The nipper's coming on nicely.

-- Anonymous, November 20, 2000

All present and correct thatnks Gibbo, just got an awful lot of inputting to do with these selections thanks to that bloody form not working.

-- Anonymous, November 20, 2000

Err....are we supposed to be sending in our selections? I guess I need to do one. What's the deadline? I definitely have a few deadbeats to shift from last season's team

Ha ha ha! Ready to rock and roll :-)

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

I take it we are supposed to have selected our team before today and we are now too late??

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

OK Softie....... can we still enter?

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

Can you send me the spreadsheet or whatever to my work e-mail addy. Cheers!

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

Still time to enter folks, that was just the culmination of several weeks of spare time spreadsheeting. The whole thing is now automated so I can operate the league and change nappies :-)

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

You have an automated nappy changer? I'd patent that if I were you! :-)

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

Gobbi, they're called wimmin.

-- Anonymous, November 23, 2000

Since the real thing is so utterly pitiful again this season, don't forget to send me your entries for the alternate League. If you want all the rules and crap then follow the link at the top, but if you just fancy getting the info to pick a squad and take pot luck (a la Robson) then send an e-mail to softie02@hotmail.com

Get 'em while they're hot, they're luvverly.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2000

Have emailed you, Softie. Got my darts out awaiting the roster so I can pick my team! :-)

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2000

Can I still play - even though I did happen to agree that Birmingham wasn`t one of Barton`s better games? (;o)

-- Anonymous, December 01, 2000

Of course you can play Galaxy, and I don't dispute for a minute that Barton had a howler against Brum, I just don't think that he deserves to be made a scapegoat of when so many of the rest of them did nothing while he was trying and failing. I'll always prefer someone who does their best but can't quite make the grade than someone who has bags of talent but rests on their laurels and plays within themself. Now give me someone with talent and Barton's workrate and I will lose my voice completely at SJP.

-- Anonymous, December 01, 2000

Fair comment there Softie!(:o)

-- Anonymous, December 01, 2000

So, has the paint dried yet?

-- Anonymous, January 11, 2001

I recall in the distant past I sent a team in.

Do I have to do it again? Or was that for this.

Is that last one a sentance?

-- Anonymous, January 11, 2001

Just read instructions for your compy Softie and, frankly, things don't really get organised any better than that - congrats.

If I were you I'd go public, charge half of England a fee to enter, then nick off to some pre-arranged Caribbean tax haven with cheap, buxom nannies. Remember to send us a postcard every now and then won't you ?
