My son was born Feb 7 of this year and I'm working on his scrapbook and baby album. Each one has a "current event" page that I'm trying to fill in but for some reason I didn't really pay attention to what was going on in the world at that time... Don't do research for me or anything, but I'd love to hear what sticks in your mind from last February. Anything.

Here are the main categories I'm looking for: Top news stories (national and international), important leaders, popular songs/singers/bands, popular dances (?? -- the most recent one I can come up with is the Macarena, so I *really* need some help in that department!!), sports heroes, Broadway shows, fashion trends (along with other fads and crazes), hit TV shows. I already have the books and movies pretty well covered, and I've gathered some news headlines and important leaders, but I don't have much for the other categories.

So whatever you can think of -- whether you think I'll actually find it helpful, or whether you think you can at least get a laugh out of me -- I'd greatly appreciate it! I have to warn you, though, that no matter how good your personal stories from February are, I probably won't enter them into my son's books. Hope you're not too disappointed.

I bet if you went to some of the big news and information sites -- abcnews.com, cnn.com, mrshowbiz.com, wallofsound.com -- you could search their archives by date. That would be way easier than this method. (I know for a fact that you can search The Times by date.)
