ACL Flower Vase - Dining Car China

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

In looking at interior photos of ACL Dining Cars (mainly '60's), I notice that each table had a small flower or bud vase. In color photos these appear to be a light green color, unlike say the Palmetto or Carolina pattern china. It has a ball or round shaped lower portion and a straight upper 'stack'. Has anyone ever seen one of these? Are they backstamped 'Atlantic Coast Line'? I would like to locate one of these, but know of nowhere to start. Many thanks, Marc Hamel, NCDOT Rail Division gigsup@aol.com

Try looking go to the collectibles category and find "Railroadiana, Trains" or type in "Atlantic Coast Line" or "ACL" or "flower vase" or "bud vase" in the search box. Who ever might have one may not recognize it as a railroad item and it may be in some other category where other antique items are located. May be you will get lucky and the seller will have a picture. Good luck!
