Math Textbooks (Homeschooling)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Anyone need some texts for math? Here is what we have... I think these came from Sonrise for about $100 a set... They are from Scott Foresman / Univerity of Chicago School of Mathematics Project: TRANSITION MATHEMATICS and ALGEBRA. Each is textbook and solutions manual. Trans.Math. is for 7th or 8th grade and Alg. is for 8th or 9th grade. You could use them very easily for 7th, 8th, and 9th, as we could not complete one book in a single grade year. Money is tight around here, and it really bugs me to have this much invested in something and see it going to waste. If someone can use these, please let me know. I can ship them out USPS book rate, and when you get them, just pay us what it cost to ship. We will be happy that the books are being put to good use. -- Matthew in Central Illinois

Matthew, in another thread people were mentioning places to buy used curriculum materials -- some of the places mentioned were places you could sell your books, if you don't find a buyer here. One possibility is e-Bay. The others were more specifically homeschooling sites -- I can't remember the names, but if you do some checking you may come up with something. Good luck.

Yep, I saw that thread about selling. Homeschooling is a big commitment in time and money, and Countrysiders seem like pretty good people. If we can help someone out by giving these books away, we'd rather do that than sell them. God Bless us all!
