I set up a practice course at Clinton State Park

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

I set up a training course at Clinton State Park. The course is fairly long (over 10K) with a lot of controls (24). I hung orange vetting tape at the control locations. I plan to leave the tapes up through about Christmas. Talk to me if you are interested in getting a copy of the course (meglin@juno.com). I plan to bring the master map to the next few local events. If you bring an old Clinton State Park map, you can copy the master map and run the course at your convenience. I may even scan the course in and put it on the web.

The master map is available on-line at:

The map image is a big file (179k) so the page will take a while to load.

I took the vetting tapes down today (January 15). So, if you go out to run the course, don't expect to find any orange tapes marking the control locations.

Rumour has it courses will be designed tonight and should be in Mike & Mary's mailbox by Monday morning. It is hard to design courses with only one eye though.
