PRICELESS!@!!!!! Check out dem toes! I love this shot. Kid shots are right up my alley, and I envy you for this one. When it was first loading, the first thing that hit my mind was "hand coloring" which is something that me and my girlfriend are into (her more than me). LOOK AT THOSE CUTE TOES!!!!! I won't even consider looking for technical flaws, no matter how slight. CHECK OUT THOSE TOES!!!!

I largely agree with Tony: It is a great portrait. Well done.

I'm more facinated by the face than the toes: that is one great expression.

Good lighting as well, even if the hat is a little burnt... The face is perfectly lit.

Wish I had taken it...

Please take this down before Jeff sees it. God, this is so cliche'd. Smacks of Anne Gedde's work. Oh my God. Don't let Jeff see this. Lumberjack

Too late James, I'm here.

And you're right, my interest in photos of children is around the things other than "cute" - maybe it's my own memories, but I'm far more interested in the things that really made me wonder about the meaning of life or feel terrified when I was a child.

All that aside, even though this isn't my kind of photo, it is terrifically well executed.

"perfectly lit"

Holy cow, nobody has ever said that about my photography before.

My thanks to you all for the feedback.
