Here's hoping this call up doesn't mean another injury on the way for Andy Griffin, mind you with his track record it doesn't take a call up to the U21's for him to break down.

No Joe Cole in either squad today??

Weaver (Manchester City), Taylor (Arsenal), Carrick (West Ham), Chadwick (Manchester United), Christie (Derby Co), Cole (Arsenal), Davis (Fulham), Dunn (Blackburn Rovers), Greening (Manchester United), Griffin (Newcastle Utd), Hargreaves (Bayern Munich), Ledley (Tottenham), Naylor (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Newton (West Ham), Prutton (Nottingham Forest), Riggott (Derby County), Smith (Watford), Terry (Chelsea), Upson (Arsenal), Vassell (Aston Villa), Vernazza (Arsenal), Young (Tottenham).

Joe Cole is injured....

IMHO, Andy Griffin is good enough to play for the first team IF he can avoid injury for an extended spell, which sadly seems increasingly unlikely.

..on the same theme, the full squad looks very weak at FB. For a "one off" I fancy they'll look to play a flexible 4-4-2 system.
My guess (definitely not my choice):

Wright (over-rated IMO)
Brown...Ferdinand...Southgate...Barry
Beckham...Gerrard...Scholes...Johnson (the only m/f lefty)
Heskey...Owen

They could get tanked.

Anybody know why Flowers isn't in the squad. He's been awesome for the last 18 months.

Er..................to protect him from injury perhaps?

I think the DT should have a one-off comp. Guess the aggregate age of the team (subs excluded).

I'll start the ball rolling - Two Hundred and Fifty
