I am an African-American married to a Caucasian man and he also agrees. Everybody I know here in Texas agrees that George W. Bush is so pitiful.

In Texas we have one of the weakest forms of governorships. The state of Texas is ran mostly by the Legislature. George W. Bush was elected because most people figured him to be harmless and even though he is a dim bulb; with the Legislature in charge he couldn't do too much damage.

It drives me up the wall everytime I heard someone say vote for George Bush so he can do for the country what he did for Texas. For the life of me I can't think of anything he did for Texas. The only thing George W. Bush was aggressive in doing was finding and fighting for tax breaks for his contributors and friends and carrying out the death penalty.

In Texas they don't care whether you are guilty or innocent. If your attorney sleeps through the trail and you are found guilty and given the death penalty, so what? What are you complainin about. You must be a liberal. You still have Justice. This is the attitude of George W. Bush and some of the judges he appointed to the bench.

A great number of women and children in Texas have no health insurance. Our education numbers were cooked to make it seem as if there had been a big improvement. Any improvement came from programs that were instituted before George Bush became governor.

Some of our cities are the most polluted in the country on some days.

I never thought I would see the day where we would have a candidate who made fun of and laughed at his own lack of knowledge and experience; who made fun of his own lack of intelligence and he gets votes anyway. All of this information is public knowledge. For all of the weird people who voted for someone of his caliber; I hate to say this; but they will get exactly what they deserve if he truly does become President. As his voracious supporters have constantly said: GEORGE W. BUSH WILL DO FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR TEXAS!

This is so embarassing!

Okay, so SHE does live in Texas, she *must* be telling *some* truth.

It begs the obvious question: Do we want Gore to do for the nation what he did for Tennessee? Hell, he couldn't even carry his own state...

Bob,

I know Tennesseean's,and Gore is no Tennesseean, people who have been born and raised here consider him to be a product of DC,an ultimate outsider. That he couldn't carry TN is in no way any kind of surprise.

I call a "do-over"!

Let's get four different folks in there, have a couple debates (actual debates - no fakes, no phonies) and let's vote again!

Don't pinch me. I do not wish to awaken from this dream...
