Hey, hey, Katie, calm down. The votes are being recounted. We may not know for a couple of days who won.

*screams* I hate this shit. Come on, Gore!

-- Anonymous, November 08, 2000

Yeah, Treva woke me up this morning saying something about Bush not winning, and I was just like, "Huh? Muuuhhhh? Mmmphledmmph?" (I'm not too intelligent-sounding at 7:30am, especially when I didn't go to sleep until 3am.) Anyway, I fell back asleep and forgot about it. Then I woke up around 11:30, turned on the TV and was all like, "What the HELL?"

I hope to hell Bush doesn't win. It wouldn't be so bad if the Democrats had control of Congress, but since they don't, everything's going to get fucked up. That and the whole Supreme Court thing -- it'll be bye-bye Roe vs. Wade for sure.

*hands Katie a gun* Will you shoot me first?

-- Anonymous, November 08, 2000

If Bush wins, I really don't know what I'm going to do. How can people vote for that monster? I wish I lived in Florida. I don't know what I would do, but it would be drastic. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! I think I'm gonna have to leave the country, lest we all go down with The Psycho One.

So Gore breaks the law (can you say China, Russia, Buddhist Temples, black churches, etc) and Bush is the Monseter? You people are ignorant parots of a corrupt philosophy.

Oh yeah - if Gore wins, you won't be able to own, much less use, a gun.

"You people are ignorant parots of a corrupt philosophy."

Funny, Anonymous--people could say the same about you.

-- Anonymous, November 09, 2000

Well Bush drives drunk. :)

Besides that, I have no use for a gun. I've never used one and probably never will. So..anymore arguments?

-- Anonymous, November 09, 2000

Bush is only up by 792 votes in FL. Come on Gore, pull through for us! Bush wants to take away not only women's rights but human's rights as well. He can just roll over and die.

Republicans are evil...pure evil, I tell you! =)

I wish my email address was stupid@liberal.com.

Oh yeah. Guns suck.

Not to be pedantic, but I can spell both "parrot" and "monster" correctly. :)

Go ahead, caller.

i honestly dont CARE who wins, but i have heard tings from both sides. Bush -- drives drunk, skates by in life from good ol daddy. Gore -- has a censormaniac he runs with and will throw that gun amendment out the door Nader -- i havent heard a damn thing about him and the electoral college basically hasnt either since he got... uhhh... 0% of the votes

so.. our country sucks... with bush being an idiot, and gore being a liar. Clinton, on the other hand, is both an idiot AND a liar, so maybe we'll be better off with one of the two qualities in office.

Nader got 3% of the vote, hon.

-- Anonymous, November 11, 2000

I haven't heard anything about this gun amendment thing with Gore, and although I really despise Bush a lot, he drove drunk in like, 76. That's a looong time ago. People do stupid things when they're kids. Doesn't make it better, but I suppose it's viable that perhaps he has changed in 24 years. And Clinton may be a liar, but he's not an idiot. He did a lot for this country.

-- Anonymous, November 11, 2000

Not only did Nader get 3% of the vote, but contemplate the fact that over 2 *million* people voted for Nader. I mean, that's a lot of people. Why don't we start our own fucking country? Get us to an island, damnit. Heh.

But, um, I was going to say that, Katie (and anyone else) if you're really worried about Roe v. Wade being over turned I suggest you read the very intelligent Michael Moore's article "Ain't Fallin' For That One Again" on grassroots.com:

http://www.grassroots.com/scripts/editorial.dll?bfromind=232&eeid=2768059&eetype=article&render=y&ck=&userid=191711775&userpw=.&uh=191711775,2,&ver=hb1.40

And keep in mind that Gore, as a senator, voted FOR Antonin Scalia, exactly the kind of Justice democrats are threatening Bush will appoint.

Ner......Bush drove drunk when he was *30*. With passengers in the car. What a leader, hrm?

-- Anonymous, November 11, 2000

Um, how and when did Gore break the law? And why are Bush and his dear, Florida-delivering brother, so certain that they've won Florida? And why were they so confident beforehand?? Hmmm.

-- Anonymous, November 11, 2000

Oh, 30? Well that's different. I heard he was like, 20 or something. And yeah, how DID Gore break the law? I say we just pretend Florida doesn't exist. It all sounds way too corrupt to have anything resembling a fair vote down there.
