how is Joel?

Has anyone heard about Joel or the stand'off in Texas? According to the last post, they expected something might happen today (Election Day).. Certainly the media will be busy covering election returns. I'm not sure exactly where he is in TX. but here in SE NM on the state line, we've had 5 inches of snow. They're expecting flooding in central Tx where my folks live. Any news????

I've been wondering the same thing, I haven't heard anything about the Grey's plight in the local news here either.

The expectation of something happening was after the elections. This whole recount thing and problems with the democratic parties strategy puts that off a bit more. If the election has to be re-done, then I think it will stay any action there. There has been no news from the Grays on shortwave or more local media. It seems like winter hit central Texas last night, so I hope that Joel and his group are warm and dry.

It's not too cold down there where Joel is but it's wet all over the state. Lots of rain. We ain't complaining though, after this past summer. Anyway, that standoff, from what I've heard, is down by Liberty which is not too far north or kinda northeast of Houston. That's swamp country. I haven't heard or read a word about that standoff in about a month. The last thing I read quoted the sheriff down there as saying he didn't want anyone hurt and he was going to be patient. I got the impression that the sheriff was a pretty cool guy and I wouldn't be concerned with him or his people, but the federal goons are always dangerous. I don't know if there are any federal cops on the scene or not. I haven't heard.

Shooter, it's in Trinidad in Henderson County about 75 miles southeast of Dallas. It's confusing because it's on the Trinity river, but it's not in Trinity Texas. Only in Spanish is it Trinity. I wish it was in Trinity as that would be a lot closer to me! It's off of state hwy 31 east of Corsicana.
