It ain't over 'til the fat lady votes.

Zogby has been wrong, and that poll is the ONLY one with Gore in the lead. Gore's brother works for Zogby, by the way. Odd...

-- kritter (kritter@adelphia.net), November 06, 2000.

Here it is, less than 24 hours before the real voting begins, and people are concerning themselves with mere opinion polls of 1000 or 2000 voters.

Sit tight. We'll know the straight scoop soon enough, folks. When the millions have spoken, these "samples" will be long forgotten - whoever wins.

-- Brian McLaughlin (brianm@ims.com), November 06, 2000.

Not exactly true, Kritterone. The local poles here in Missouri [just heard them] show Bush and Nader both dropping relative to Gore. But let's face it. The poles are not all that reliable this year. Brian is correct. We will know the results by Friday at the latest [when all of the ab. ballots are counted]. Now get back out there and sell those bushes. :^)

Best wishes,,,,

I am quite prepared to eat crow, should the need arise. One blip in a weekend poll isn't going to wet my appetite though, lol. You may want to look at the trends over several weeks. Then again, you may wan't to cling to this faint glimmer of hope....

And one day, you may wan't to have the courage to post your own projections, and maybe even more courageously get a real email address...

Dear FatFucker:

Can you read your own words? Doesn't seem like it.

-- where's the beef? (@ .), November 06, 2000.

Y2K Pro has to be the one that started this thread. Who else uses that word?

You're a chicken shit Pro. Why not sigh the post? Afraid that you may be WRONG.

You always have been gutless.

Did Ronald Reagen not come from behind in 1980 over the last weekend to win? Gore just through a 17 yard pass to Lieberman for a first down at the 10. First and goal.

-- FutureShock (gray@matter.think), November 07, 2000.

First and goal from the ten. Gore takes the snap from center, he rolls right. He can't find Lieberman in the endzone because Joe is only 5'2" (or something like that). Gore is sacked from behind by G.W. Bush.

Time runs out.

Game over for the Dems.

-- J (Y2J@home.comm), November 07, 2000.

Hey J:

WHAT do you have against 5"2????????????????????????

I am 5 2 with eyes of blue ..... and I CAN catch a ball.

-- (shh@aol.com), November 07, 2000.

Consumer,

I have nothing against 5'2". I just don't think that Gore would be able to find the elf-like Lieberman with 6'6", 280 lb linemen breathing down his throat.

Now with your dazzling blue eyes, I am sure Gore would have found YOU in an instant for the TD. You should have been his running mate. : )

-- J (Y2J@home.comm), November 07, 2000.

Now with your dazzling blue eyes...

Those eyes are more than likely bloodshot red. Not that I'm against bloodshot red, mind you...

Although I disapprove of any thread that earmarks a particular person, I think this thread lost sight of David's smug guarantee that Zogby would swing before the final poll. Predictions are predictions when stated as such, but David has made predictions with guarantees, and has also stated that he was correct about Y2k, ergo he would be correct on this. The retort regarding past poll results, IMO, is unsatisfactory and deflects from the point at hand, which IS that Zogby did NOT move their numbers toward Bush.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), November 07, 2000.

Yes Anita, that is so true and will be the undoing of Zogby as a credible polling source.

Those eyes are more than likely bloodshot red. Not that I'm against bloodshot red, mind you...

-- Bingo1 (howe9@shentel.net), November 07, 2000.

Well, I never ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^, and FWIW, that IS why God made visine my man.

Furthermore, IF it werent for that good looking guy at the polling area, my eyes would have been fine. :-)

-- consiumer (shh@aol.com), November 07, 2000.

um, let me fix my name. (smiles embarrassed and exits, real quick)

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), November 07, 2000.

LOL Sumer!!!,

Why is it my voting experience seems so mundane compared to yours, next time I'm going voting with you.

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), November 07, 2000.

'sumer an' capn'...there was a really cute cop at my voting place ;)...so no action there..heh.

And I couldn't believe the size of the ballot...that sucker had to be a foot wide by a foot and a half long. We had to fill in the bubbles with a fine point marker (supplied) and the voting booth itself was only about a foot deep...so you had to put the ballot up the wall of the booth to fill in the bubbles.

What a harrowing experience...LOL.
