I read somewhere that every 4 years, they take a straw poll of the nuthouses around the country (called by various euphemistic names), and the results are always a damn close match for the national electorate. It's not like we've got a whole lot of choices here, and significantly fewer *good* choices.

Oh, I'll hold my nose and vote for Bush. A mental midget facing in the right direction is certainly better than anyone facing in the wrong direction. You never know, maybe he'll appoint some sensible people to tell him what to think. Gore has some good ideas and I favor a few of his planks, but on the whole I think even the right things he proposes are proposed for the wrong reasons. And I simply don't see any other candidates getting enough votes even to send a message. And Nader's Greens send the worst possible message.

Why can't they offer decent candidates? Where do they get these clowns?

Thanks for sharing Flint. I'm not going to kick you because you were honest, calling Bush a mental midget. True, he would have an intelligent support system (God knows he needs it), but if that happens I hope they are also more ethical than him.
