After a pleasant week`s sojourn on the West Coast (Oban) and a three day session over in Galway where the nearest I came to a hangover was a hot flush on how much I was spending, minutes silence please for Lloyds TSB, thank you, it worries me the amount I was putting away and coupled with the pills I`m poppin and reading that the redoubtable Gavin Heron self styled Olly Reed of the BB`s missed a game through a one night bevvy perked me up no end. I digress -:

After a pleasant day driving thro Glencoe I visited a wee place called Easdale where the Atlantic was raging, The good lady spotted a small boat heading in with a lady passenger, when I looked over the harbour wall the boat was disapearing to Seal Island in dreadful seas. The occupant a middle aged lady was standing on the small slipway clinging onto the seawall like a limpet, the waves were lapping up to 5 carrier bags and a holdall. I went down, retrieved her shopping bags and hold all to safer ground and took her up the ramp. Then in a unmistakeable mackem tongue, "never again she cried", I have been swamped with guilt ever since, even her car had a Black Cat sticker on the rear window, I need counselling, Pit Bull ???
