Is there a decent pub near the ground?

Screach, Dougal and I went to The Victory before and after the match last year. Seemed friendly enough, even after we'd won. Just keep low key and you should be fine. It's about 10min walk from the away end.

Yeah, I'll endorse Ciara's comments - but I'll also add a warning that LR mentioned. There seemed to be a bit of aggro when ManUre played there a few weeks ago.

The Victory was OK. Pretty full with blues before the game, but we hit the back snooker/pool room and the natives were friendly. Not many around to join in our "Victory" celebrations tho.

It'a aituated on the one-way system, not far from the rugby ground. In fact, we parked in the rugby car park. Free (from memory) and The Victory was only a few 100 yards on the right (away from Filbert St) out the carpark. I think that is towards the city centre.

Watch for the "Baby Squad".....dunna what it is with LEicester?...Saturday at Cov was fine...only 20 miles apart or so but a world of difference...no bother on the scale we saw at Leicester.

Ok..pubs.....

for anyone going on the Rattler, come out of the station, turn right and go under the underpass.....on yer left is the Barley Mow and the Wyvern. The Wyvern is a good pub..nice and big with big garden area at the back for spliffers :-) It's 15 mins walk from F.St

I was down in Leicester the weekend Man Ure played there.

Unfortunately, I happened to be passing the railway station (in the car) on my way onto London Road and it just so happened that the match had just finished.

I have never seen so many nutcases waiting around to cause bother and was actually quite concerned at one point when I noticed the ManUre fans being led towards them by the cops.....the daft coppers even blocked the road off and we had to sit and wait whilst the Leicester arse holes ran riot around the station area aswell!!

I will be down there on saturday for the match this week too and would advise people to keep as low a profile as is possible......I've heard that the same trouble is planned for our lot and I personally am shitting it!

Good Luck.....you have been warned

In fairness, when we were there, it was a freezing cold festive day. I'd got into Leicester early and sat in the Wetherspoons to get warmed and I've never seen as many police in my life.
