Nice one mum ;))

Now what's all this about webcams on DB and Yelli?

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Good God, even when I specifically tell her to keep something quiet she still manages to blurt it out!!!

That woman is a liability!!! (;o)

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Just a minute while I get me white mac, these Little Plums sound veddy interdesting, elaborate please. :-))

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Oh dear-I`m in trouble again. I would explain further folks, but every which way I try to word it, I see double meanings looming large!!

Anyway, I am now wearing my Laura Ashley print pinny and an alice band, and am about to enter the Stotty Zone!!!! May not be able to type for a while as the dough has been known to refuse to release my hands!!!

Gav - no webcams here - the internet would grind to a halt with sheer boredom!!(;o)

the dough has been known to refuse to release my hands

Is that the same as 'short arms and deep pockets' ? :-))

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Very clever Pit Bill! (:o)

I am feeling sublimely smug just at this very minute, surrounded as I am with the heavenly smell of bread baking (second batch) and a large wedge of warm buttered stotty in my hand!!! Who`s a clever girl then?!

My thanks to Min for the destructions!!!(:o)

So it's all down to bumblefuck for stotties the neet then is it?......Bobby, Scratchy, Sting you up for it?

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Talking about Sting, wasn't it him who had the problem with his "little plums". Well, at least one might have been little, but I imagine after sitting on the other, it swelled a bit.

Now, back to the original plot............drove up to Blyth today via the M6 and the glorious Hartside as the A1 is blocked (Alston Girlie not sighted). Bid farewell to me Ma (over a bottle of wine and a nice juicy steak - yum yum) then off to SJP the morra for a farewell victory. Drive back to Cheshire straight after the game, then off to America, God Bless it to check on fair play in the Presidential erection.

Single again (fuck me I break them fast these days!) so I'm out on the rampage tonight, tomorrow and maybe even sunday.....

Have fun y'all....

Anyone remember when we played Leeds three times in the space of ten days around November time, Rockets and stuff going off at Elland Road, darts being thrown, general all around Mayhem. Running Battle in Newcastle i think we got beat. not good at the time but it is good to see how far football crowds have come.

OK take it easy over the weekend folks - don`t get your fingers burned - and remember the firework code. (;o)

To those of you travelling further afield - Pilgrim, Screacher (are you going to Minneapolis?) - safe journey and keep us posted!(:o)

Is it true that Bangers have been banned?

My son has just reached the age where he wants to risk life and limb and I can't find any!

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Oh howay Pilgrim. What's wrong with mekkin' yer own? I once knew a fella who bosted about nearly blowing up North Seaton Beach. I wonder whatever happened to him? ;-)

Well, almost a third of the weekend activities are completed. The storm, tempest and floods have been negotiated and I arrived safely in Blyth - well, as safe as anybody can be in Blyth. But at least the tide is out so the water level hasn't reached the top of me knee-highs yet.

Task two is almost completed too. The steak's been cooked (and eaten) and the wine's been sampled (rather well sampled, if the truth be known). All that remains for this evening is to ensure the bottle doesn't go off (well, being a tee-totaller, me dear old Ma doesn't know how to keep a bottle,so I think I'll have finish the wine off mesel') and to carefully (very carefully!) select my TeamPick. It's gonna be tough maintaining the gap to Clarky, due to his dubious contacts inside SJP - a Cushing number if ever there was one. Still, there's nowt like the confidence inspired by a juicy steak and a nice wine, added to the anticipation of what's to come and my TeamPick (after due consideration) will be revealed elsewhere.

Tomorrow will be simple, compared to today. A leisurely morning, preparing for the afternoon's challenge, followed by a drive to The Golden City. Ninety minutes of purgatory will happen between 3:00 and 4:45 (or thereabouts), but I'm confident that YBR's current team will beat the last club side he managed in England. So confident that my fingers are firmly crossed (makes typing bliddy hard mind).

Following that is a simple matter of a drive back to Cheshire. Normally, the quickest route is down the A1/M1 and across the M62, M6 and M56. But with so much flooding on the east, another exciting drive across Alston and Hartside to Penrith may be called for. Ne'er mind, the Stealth Astra knows that road pretty well and I'll just switch to autopilot and be back in time to pack the bags for the trip to the MidWest. Oh, that reminds me - did I tell you I was going to invigilate the Presidential erection? Who mentioned Minneapolis? Galaxy - not unless I can avoid it. Mebbes a shopping spree in the Mall of America - a sort of poor man's version of the Metro Centre with bigger rides.

No work this weekend - but child free from Saturday lunch through to Sunday. 40th party Saturday (not mine) and then footie on Sunday am rain permitting.

Enjoy.

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

Nah - yours was 8 years ago wasn't it?

-- Anonymous, November 03, 2000

My mistake Screacher - I thought you said Minneapolis. Actually, I rather liked the place - felt pretty safe there.(:o)

Successful stotties? Will the recipe work with American ingredients? I'd love to try it if they'll come out right.

Not alot planned for the weekend. Housebound due to financial rationing. So will be doing lots of cleaning, staring at my new(well new to me....it's was "new" 10 yrs ago ;-) ) car, watching my cat re-discover what it means to be a cat (sitting in windows, trying to chase bugs through the glass, lounging in the mid-day sun pouring through the windows). It's something he seemed to have never figured out the first 7 1/2yrs of his life.

Next week should be a bit more exciting. Starting a temp job on MOnday(ooo, income!), have friends who have been touring the US staying with me the early part of the week, another friend from California visiting next weekend, and the friend who convinced me to move to MD moving into her new apt 2 bldgs down from mine on Thursday.

Oh...and I might also check out our webcast tomorrow. :-)

Hey Gal - we all make mistakes, as the Dalek said, climbing down from the dustbin. OK, OK. Hat, coat and thermals................

Actually, I agree with your comments about feeling safe - un;less you stray into St Paul by mistake! I'll be in Rochester which was voted in the top 3 desirable places to live three years on the trot. Mind, I think the survey population was all 60-85 yearolds, and with the world's largest medical center (aka Mayo Clinic), is it surprising? So, now you know why I'm gannin'!!
