Ipswich (H) travel disruption

In the post- Hatfield safety-first climate, Railtrack have suddenly decided that around 7 miles of track between Durham and Darlington are unsafe and need urgent renewal.

This work will entail closing the main line between Kings Cross and Scotland from this Friday evening until at least Sunday afternoon. A diversionary route will ferry passengers between York and Newcastle via the coast, which will involve GNER passengers changing trains at York. Virgin trains will apparently run directly, but will also use the coastal route and therefore suffer delays.

Adding this delay to the current speed restrictions elsewhere and diversion round the Hatfield area, means that the London to Newcastle journey time will be in the region of 6 hours.

An added problem is flooding in the York area, which today (Thursday) has resulted in all passengers for Northbound destinations being ferried by coach to Darlington. Obviously if this continues, the 6 hour estimate will be considerably increased.

If you are planning to catch a train to Newcastle for the Ipswich game, you may wish to find an alternative or be prepared for chaos and long delays en route.

Railtrack claim that current info for all train operators will be posted at: www.nationalrail.co.uk While GNER are posting updates at: www.GNER.co.uk

Ah haaaaaa we have another case of non-identified plagerism, and it's our legal eagle who could be the instigator.

The above, very intersting and informative piece is word for word the same as the item on the NUFC.com - someone has copied someone else, but who?

WE NEED TO KNOW.....THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
