Bradford's chairman really couldn't take the stress of our match. Saw this on Sporting Life:

Bradford chairman Geoffrey Richmond has been taken to hospital after falling ill following his club's dramatic 4-3 Worthington Cup defeat at Newcastle.

Richmond complained of feeling unwell after the game and was seen by Newcastle's doctor before paramedics were called.

He was taken to a paramedic ambulance in a wheelchair and driven to the coronary care unit at a city hospital, understood to be the Royal Victoria Infirmary, shortly before 11pm.

A Newcastle spokesman confirmed that Richmond had been taken to hospital after a "bad turn" but it was thought his visit was precautionary.

The Bradford chairman had just seen his side's remarkable comeback at St James' Park, where they got back on level terms after falling three goals behind, blown apart by Steve Caldwell's late winner for Newcastle.

City currently lie one place off bottom of the Premiership and the chairman just last week left manager Chris Hutchings in no doubt about the urgency of a turn-around if he is to keep his job.

A spokesman for the Royal Victoria Infirmary confirmed that Richmond had been admitted to the hospital for observation overnight and that his condition would be reviewed in the morning.

He's actually a jolly nice man is Geoffers. I used to write Bradford City's radio commercials and could never get over the fact that you could ring up the club and get put straight through to the chairman. Hope he's OK.
