I think we have all been having panic attacks through not being able to access the BBS (me included). I have to say I think it dilutes the atmosphere when there are two boards being used. Not up to me, of course, but I shall stick with the BBS just for the time being. It does seem to be running well today - and Duncan has done such a good job for us, I`d like to see it continue. (:o)

As Greenspun have apparently been having problems of late, it is a good idea to check both of them......the more that go into the Daily Toon one the better as well as it helps to test the robustness of the server.

If Andy's link above doesn't work, use the URL http://www.dailytoon.co.uk and the message board is highlighted at the bottom of the options tabs down the left opof your screen.

Given that the Strawberry board has been taken over and dominated completely by Makems, Andy is working on Passwording the DT board.

As far as I can see, this board has been down and unavailable for most of the last two weekends as well as several parts of several days inbetween, so keeping the options of another board available is surely the best bet.

The rest of the DT site ain't bad either.....we are trying the best we can.....and we do have other jobs to do.....honest!....and on top of that, my home PC has been working itself and it keeps booting me off the net.

Just in case we have a problem ala the HMS Communicata, I'm beginning to keep a list of the contributors to this board so that if, god forbid, the worst happens and this ship sinks, we can at least get in touch with everyone to let them know where we have gone.

If you want to go on that list, send an E Mail to dailytoon@hotmail.com I may have already listed you, but Mail me anyway, just to make sure. Belt and braces never hurt anyone, and we don't want to lose anyone overboard if this place goes belly-up.

Thanks ITK. Contrary to popular belief, you have your uses. However, getting me to the DT BBS is not one of them! I get the same results as from Scratchy's link. Ah well, it's probably a far better place without me anyway. I'll just get on packing me bags and slope off into the sunset.

Way cool! Good work, Scratchy! Looks good and actually loaded quickly for me, even on netscrape(which has been giving me loads of problems lately). Relieved to have a backup! I'm with Galaxy, I'll certainly stay here for now, but at least now we don't have to panic during greenspun's system upgrades :-D
