Phew!!! No more floods!!!!!!!!

What a relief to know that the country is not suffering from the worst flooding in years.....they`re only `high water events`! It must be true, I heard it on Radio 4 news this morning - and there`s me thinking it was something serious!

(Bet the person who coined that expression this morning lives well above the `high water` mark! (;o)

I think the whole thing's been blown out of all proportion (no pun intended).

Last Sunday, when it was supposed to be 'bad' I nipped out to the Chinese for a takeaway in a pair of shorts and NUFC top. It was a bit windy and a bit wet, but TBH I've seen much worse, mostly around the Northumbrian coastline :-)

Another case of problems only reported in the media if the event occurs near London?

I think so.

Oi Bobby......D'ya wanna come round and have a plodge in the 'Olympic size swimming pool' that appeared at the bottom of our garden over the weekend.

Galaxy....I noticed on the news at the weekend that one of the head honcho's in the fire service in your area was called Sears......any relation?

The media bandwagon has certainly gone over the top in some instances. At the first sign of snow they'll be closing schools etc and mumbling about a white xmas.

Ah, good old CNN. Why give the real picture when they can create a story out of a bit of rain in lil' ol' Engerlund...

Glad to hear you still got your Chinese Bobby. How would Grace Darling feel eh?

; )
