The female figure in the upper-right really does it for me in this shot. By gosh, is that a guy kissing another guy? Shocking!

Nicely caught moment, and certainly more kinky than my voodoo keychain :)

How tall are you? The angle really does it for me.

Tony's right about that woman, the expression and the mask combine to be hilarious. Although it does look like two men, the sexual ambiguity lends some mystery to it. Looks like a party I'd enjoy...

Christel, I'm 182 cm tall. They were seated. : )

I'm not certain of the sex of the person in the hat (female, I think, though she was with the woman on her left); for my purposes, certainty isn't necessary (or even desirable).

I just posted a cropped version of this shot (left third of frame removed) on photocritique.net.

Thanks for the comments so far. It was a great party.

I saw the cropped version. I like this one better. It feels more like a party here.

Mmm, I like the tones of this picture -- it has a nice quality to it. You do your own development and printing?

I can see why you wanted to crop the image: it's a shame that you didn't turn the camera slightly to the right: those two women are great. On the other hand, having them there -- litterally on the edge -- does add a certain tension to the image.

With the composition you have chosen, is it possible to get a little more detail in the left-bottom corner. Looking very closely at my monitor, there does seem to be information there that could be brought out by the printing (or digitally).

But: it's a great moment you have captured and I really like your image.

Yes, I'm back again... There is still no preview, is there?

Allan,

Yes, I do all my own b&w developing and printing. On the print, the detail in the guy's jacket and girl's glove is much more visible (there's even some just-discernible detail in the middle person's jacket). Trying to preserve those details in the web image results in blacks that are only dark grey; I feel that preserving the overall contrast of the image benefits it more than maintaining the details in the near blacks.

All characters in this image interact. Wonderful. I like tight cropping. Cut on the left.
