Did you find your cat? You must have missed my numerous posts asking and I believe Cin wanted to know as well.

Thanks Buddy.

Answers

Nope.

But thanks for asking. Mr. Phib is a 5-y.o. neutered male who has never stayed away from home longer than two days. He has all his claws and has been hit twice, so he knows to stay away from cars. He's been gone for two weeks.

I'm afraid that he might have been abducted by the bunchers (idiots who gather up cats for the research labs), or, on a more positive note, perhaps he was investigating an open motorhome (it was homecoming at OSU that weekend) and was accidently driven away.

I have literally crawled foot-by-foot through a three-block area. I think I wrote on this board about the little old lady who called the police when I was knocking on the basement window of a vacant house. I'm sure that he's not trapped in a garage or tree in the immediate area.

My girlfriend and I have also posted signs, gone door-to-door, and we haunt the shelter on a lot of evenings. For the moment, I have a "loaner" cat, my sister's mouthy Siamese, who never goes outside. At least I'm not coming home to an empty house anymore.

That's the scoop for now. I have mentally given up on him, but I'll keep up the search for another month. My next kitty will be strictly an indoor cat. Mr. P. was going to be, but he was raised outside and has always been an indoor-outdoor cat. Such is life sometimes.

Thanks for asking. Suggestions are welcome.

My apologies for not answering sooner, ladies. It's been crazy at work, and between hunting for cats and working OT, I haven't had much time for the board.

Thanks, again.

Sorry for not answering sooner, ladies. Between OT and hunting for Mr. P, I haven't been on line much. I'm looking forward to a lull after the election.

I didn't post twice. You're drunk!

Kb8...my sister's cat ran away for a month. Left on a full moon and returned on the next..we all sang the Twighlight Zone toon.

I have no clue who wrote "Twighlight"..(Hugh Sheepish Grin):)))

Thanks for the tale, Peg. Several others have also said that he'll turn up, followed by a story of how this cat or that cat turned up after two or three months.

I've fed a few "wanderers" in my time, cats who have dropped in for a few days, eaten like pigs, and then moved on. I hope they found their way home.
