FluxMUSH

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

Well, I should probably let the cat out of the bag... Some of you may remember me talking about an "Aeon Flux Virtual World" a couple of years ago. Well, the project, in slightly modified form, is finally coming to fruition. The website is up at http://home.earthlink.net/~matrebholz/fluxmush/, and should explain all the essentials. Updates are soon to come. We'll be looking for people willing to help build the world, as well as people willing to play any of the characters from the series, or original characters. I know some of you have always fantasized about playing these roles... now's your chance! Let me know what you think, I appreciate any input on this project.

Just when I get to thinking everyone is bored with this show and no longer obsessed... ha! I love obsessiveness. Mat, you certainly are energetic and creative, Great idea, it will definitely expand you're mind. Will you chose Una I wonder.

Thanks for your comments... will I choose Una? Hmmm, maybe...

Here's a banner I've created for the project: (thanks to William and State of Flux for providing the original image)

Feel free to use the banner anywhere, preferrably linking to the site I indicated above. More banners to come...

Hi Matt, the site looks like it's really going to be fun. I would love to be aeon, but i'm not as addicted to the net as i used to be. *cries* but oh yes Aeon Flux is still my ultimate obsession, and i'm going to be a secret agent when i grow up just like aeon. Are you laughing? humm. heh, oh yeah i posted the banner on my site. I'm liking it much.

Thanks for the support, Morgan! Feel free to come by sometime... the MUSH may be a little empty right now, but we're growing...

I must admit I don't get it, I suppose my lack of internet exprience must play a role, but how does this work in laymans terms, I read to pages and still don't see what this is.

Never mind I do get it. Its could be fun, just lame. but I love aeon so I will give it a go.

I'm sorry to report that FluxMUSH is, again, dead in the water, due to sudden events that have popped up in my life requiring me to put my efforts elsewhere. I hope no one got their hopes up too much.

-- Matthew Rebholz (matrebholz@yahoo.com), December 12, 2000.

Oh, Mat I am sorry that events have caused you to have to shelve your project for now, I hope it's not something awful, but something you enjoy. It's amazing how much the tedious side of life takes away from the 'soul' of it...

Thanks Barb. Oh, no, it's nothing bad, simply a change of priorities at a time when it's most needed. It came down to either pouring my creative energy into an obsessive fan project, or into my own film ideas. I couldn't help but let my own stories take precedence.
