OK, I've had my cold for a month (although it's going away slowly.) Have any of you used those Coldeeze (how do you spell it?) drops, with zinc? Do they work for you? Do they have any new flavors that don't make you want to cry because they taste so bad?

What are Coldeeze drops? I generally try to be all macha and stuff, and then I break out the Puffs, Chloraseptic throat spray, N'Ice lozenges, Dristan and Tylenol Cold & Sinus and liquid meals.

I don't know if these are the same thing, but I tried some terrible tasting stuff that contained Zn which looked like those hard little throat lozenges. I think you are suppose to take them as soon as you feel a cold coming on. I have no idea if they really work. I could only handle part of one :P

My sympathies, Lisa. I think the thing with Cold-eeze (and with those zinc nose drops) is that you have to take it within 48 hours of the onset of the cold. Otherwise you're just screwed. That's pretty much the same for lots of remedies (like echinacea and vitamin c). When I was sick a few weeks ago, I had that cinnamon/apple Theraflu that didn't seem disgusting at the time. I could've just been high on Guaifed though.

Well, y'all will hate me (like I care) but I never take anything for colds except a gallon of orange juice, some popsicles (red is best) with 3 boxes of kleenex by my side. The cold is gone in 48 hours and I get to lay around in my pajamas and read magazines. Really. None of that stuff works and just makes me feel even oogier. I'd rather suffer a cold than suffer a cold under the influence of Sudafed. Just go home, get in the covers and blow your nose 5 million times. Trust me.
