ACL to Fayetteville, GA

I'm looking for information on the long-gone ACL line that went through Fayetteville, GA (The depot is still there). Wondering where it originated and/or branched off from the still existing line, when the tracks were removed, and if anyone knows where to find a map of the line.

Andrew - Wrong railroad! Fayetteville, Ga., was on the Atlanta-Fort Valley branch of the SOUTHERN Railway, which was abandoned circa 1940. The history of this line, a list of stations, etc., is available at the Southern Rwy. Q&A Site on the Web. http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=002ZCg As for a map, you would need to go to a library and look for a pre-1940 atlas or State Map of Georgia that shows railroad lines.
