Ligeia

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

is it too far fetched to say that Ligeia was just a cause from an opium dream and that she was gone when the opium ran out, so when he married rowena he was dissapointed that it wasnot Ligeia and when he took the opium when rowena was dead it was a hullucination that rowena was coming back to life and becomeing ligeia?

Please respond thanks

I beleive he willed her back alive but she had to exchange lives with the "other" lover of his. He opened the gates of heaven for a split second and let her come back to him. Adios Jason
