Is this one of Poe's stories?

Hello I was wondering about a story I wasn't sure whether it was one of Poe's or not. The story contains a wife killing her husband with a leg of lamb and then feeding the leg of lamb to the police officers to cover up the evidence.

I am not positive, but I have never heard of this being one of Poe's stories.

David, the story to which you refer is called "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl, an excellent author, responsible for many wonderful stories, including "Willie Winka and the Chocolate Factory" and "James and the Giant Peach."

Oops. I should have read that over before posting it. That should read "Willie Wonka." Sorry.

It was in a show by Alfred Hitchcock.

Yes, that story was adapted for the first run of the series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." It was one of the better episodes and is remembered as a classic (even if EAP had nothing to do with it).
