Who suggested that Wadsworth was being groomed for YBR's job?

In this month's Mag, a Col U fan on about him being badly hated in Essex because he left them with an overpaid bunch of talentless pansies when he left(wait for it - because the Board wouldn't sign FUMACA!!!)

I fear it may have been me Dougal!

The question I was responding to was who would the Board bring in if BR dumped us in favour of the England job? I suggested that they would be loath to go outside the Club when the managerial succession plan has already been established - ie. AS.
In these circumstances, I feel the Club could well turn to Gordon Milne (Director of Football) and Mick Wadsworth (First Team Coach) on an interim basis.
In any event, NUFC will have their own view of Wadsworth based on their own experience over the past 12 months, and won't rely too heavily on the opinions of Colchester Utd. fans - even though the latter just might may be more accurate!

........not to mention a certain Mr Robson, who must have a fairly sound opinion of MW. Anyway, hopefully it ain't gonna happen, although Sly Sports were still saying last night that there's only 2 choices - Venners or YBR, and if the FA are too stubborn to appoint Venners, then they should go for Robson full time.

Screacher, why does Mr Robson value me so much?

Gus - he's such a good judge of character. However, I'll forgive him that one mistake!

Is Wadsworth a coach? I thought he assisted BR in the day to day running of the club and did a lot of Administritive stuff so that Robson could get on the training pitch?

I would like to see Beardsley and Albert complete coaching courses and taken on board as youth coaches with a view to future first team coaching or even the managers job. They both loved Newcastle and have good footballing brains and are media friendly.

Michael Wadsworth (Head Coach).

It's a scandal if we can't find Pdero a job. I think Philippe is assistant manager at Charleroi now.
