Just the fact that he goes out of his way to explain, shows how importantly he takes his reputation, and the interests of others, including us fans. One of a million.

Truly a man in a million.

If the FA want to poach YBR are they going to guarantee NUFC premiership status next season and give the club the money to buy Barcelona's first team so that we get to watch good football? The truth is, there are fewer people who can manage NUFC than can manage Team England.

I think Freddy Shepherd has earned him lear jet this year in telling BR that he has to stay. A weaker man would have said "Well Bobby, We don't want you to go but If you want to go then I won't stand in your way. Freddie Shepherd stood up and said, "You're not going anywhere, we all luv ya, and your staying"

Frankly after hearing all the argumentfor and against Venables I think the FA are right in overlooking him. His record is pretty poor really, Hodgsons is a damn site better. On the other hand Taylor looks like he'll get atleast four games as England manager. I would see how he does before apointing anyone else.

They've all said no due to contractual obligations. The Fa would be best appointing a temporary manager like Taylor until 2002 and if we don't qualify so what and then get one of the people they really want ie Wenger or Ericsson. Surely this would allow us to look on the long term and build for the future, write off the next two years, and look at the long term.
