Once again, apologies for the downtime here today. I gather that the BBS system is neing enhanced, with new functionality added. Today's downtime was principally down to that; hopefully new features soonish. The guys who run the systems in Boston do attempt to do this work in quiet times; it has a natural effect on us that they're doing this work at 3 on Sunday morning, which just happens to be when we all want to get access over here.Never mind, we're back!

Nice one Dunx!I did notice that they'd gotten rid of all those stangely named bbs's that had appeared on the main page (i figured they were a cock up anyway)....also noticed that they've gotten rid of Galaxy's Dog BBS that she set up....wonder why....

Thanks Duncan! They did actually have a message up last night saying they were doing maintenance and expected to be up by midnight EDT. But as is the way with IT..... ;-)Much nicer to get that message than the usual error "server unreachable" type message.

Speaking of downtime - erm, what's wrong with the BBS Premier Corinthian League thread? I know I'm just displaying a lack of patience, but as someone eloquently reminded me on Saturday, 60 years is a long time to wait for something to shout about....

Just goes to show how busy I`ve been for the last couple of days - I didn`t even know that the BBS had been down! Anyway, I`m pleased it`s back!Gav - The Shih-Tzu Talkshop has disappeared off the active list, because no-one`s posting at the minute. It only stays active if I keep prodding people, and at the minute I can`t be bothered. Maybe I shouldn`t have password protected it - at least we might have had a few nutcases on there to liven things up. The odd `heavy breather`, might have been entertaining! (:o)
What do you reckon all those new `password protected` sites are? (:o)
