As Syme asks on another thread - any Lua Lua songs yet? I didn't catch any v Boro, tho tonight I found myself singing:

"Lua Lua, so good they named him twice."

Surely destined for terrace immortality...

Very good Dan. Don't give up the day job....;)

Have we settled on a pronunciation yet? Always a good start...

I could have sworn I heard during the smoggie game "Lua Lua Lua" to the tune of "Que serra serra"...I thought it was kind of appropriate.

Or Lua Lua , change the words to Loo Loo skip to my Loo .. possibilities are endless and im sure anything would be better than the current gormless ... Looa Looaa , but hey thats football ! : -))

I thought I heard the Toon Army singing a revised version of the old "Kets-bayah m'Lord, Kets-bayah" song on Monday night for Lua Lua.
Can anyone that there confirm it?

I've heard the Looaah, Looaah one that Sting's talking about and also have a vague recollection of hearing that one you're talking about Clarky....

Both are SHITE IM(not so)HO.....

Someone suggested to me we use LuLu's "You know you make me wanna shout..". Or what about using Louie Louie? I heard some people on Monday chanting Lua Lua, Lua-Lua-Lua but we've got to do better than that!

I think Dan's one's a winner...Lua, Lua. So good they named him twice.

It's just a question of thinking up the next lines...

"Lua Lua, now isn't it a pity... that the mackems are so shitty/ that Peter Reid's not pretty/ that Gazza's got big titties/ erm... about the state of this ditty..."

Maybe just stick to the: "Lua Lua, so good they named him twice, I LOVE HIM!" repeat ad nauseum

Someone went on the Col U site to ascertain whether they had a chant for him and apparently they didn't...actually, it is quite poignant on their site: they are really watching his progress and wishing the Toon well so that he shows the extent of his glory. They were also sick to hear Bobby saying we'd got him cheap.

I suppose "Lua Lua" also goes with the Tom Hark (?) "We hate Sund'land, we hate Sund'land" tune. Have we had that one?

Ooh Ah Lua Lua Say ooh ah Lua Lua

...is my nomination. I also think we should sing for a lot more of our players who must get slightly annoyed that Shearer is practically the only name ever mentioned.

In any event I wish we would just sing more - particularly at home. If I had my way, the "spectators", particularly where I sit, would be dragged out of their seats and hoyed bodily into the street where youngsters with loud voices could be invited to take their place.

(Mind, if I had my way, I'm afraid that Pol Pot would look like Mother Theresa.)

Your right Jonno, we lack player chants and apart from Robert Lee, Robert Lee, Robert Lee and once I heard Alain Goma being sang in a very moribund manner, there's not much more than that.

Surely Dyer should have his own chant by now or even one for Shay when he pulls off another fine save.

How about that one someone came up with for Louis Saha last year?

That's the way, Lua Lua, I like it, Lua Lua.

Can't remember the group who did the original.

Alternatively, we could use the Louie Louie already suggested and add a bit:

Lua Lua, whoo whoo, he's gonna shit on Sund'land

At the obvious risk of having to get me coat and leave how about the old Toony Cunningham/Howard Gayle ones. Tongue in cheek of course and in todays PC climate perhaps not advisable.

or failing that just a nice round of applause for the young lad. I think he is going to score t'morra neet and I don't mean in Julies tomorrow night
