I wonder if DEP mode on EOS cameras works correctly with third party TCs that don't report the correct focal length and aperture of the TC/lens combo to the body. There is as secton in the EOS FAQ dealing with DEP mode and how it works. But I'm still unsure if the camera needs the correct focal length and aperture to do the necessary calculations.

With Tokina pro lenses, kenko 2x, Canon 50E it works. But to get DEP zou need to switxh to eye control.
