Will he still be with us at half time?

Actually we should do away with a manager and run with a players committee.
Defensive sub-committee led by Warren Barton.
Midfield sub-committee led by Rob Lee.
Forward sub-committee led by Alan Shearer.

Cross sub-committee liason officers:
Christain Bassedas (defence-midfield)
Kieron Dyer (midfield-attack)
To eliminate long ball tactics there will be no defence-attack liason officer.

Each player in turn will lead cross sub-committee tactical council for one match only starting with Shay Given.

Tuesday mornings will be set aside for training and a chance for the players to get out of the office.

You mean organised something like the FA Geodie?
How on earth do they expect a seven man Committee to agree on anything? IMO, this is more to do with spreading the accountability than anything more positive, and is pre-destined to result in the inevitable 'compromise'. Do these tossers never learn anything?

Regarding The Toon and the hypothesis about BR leaving - I reckon we'd see Gordon Milne (Director of Football) and Mick Wadsworth (Team Manager/Coach) managing team affairs, with no one coming in from outside.
AS would probably be appointed Asst. Manager at the appropriate point, say the end of the season.

DON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT!

I'll second Sounder's sentiments. :-(

Could someone please copy the chapters in Bobby's autobiography about being spat on at Wembley, and all the press hassles and send them to him? DON'T DO IT, BOBBY!!!

I'm starting to think along the lines of EFF OFF INGERLAND.

It doesn't bear thinking about.
