Espagne Bolgnaise?

I see Footbal 365 are touting the idea that Goma may be off to Bologna for #4M.

Mind you, this was in the same article that suggested Macclesfield want Chris Waddle on a "rolling week" contract. The words scraping and barrel come to mind.

.....er. Of course I got my nationalities mixed up. I realise Goma isn't Spanish. Perhaps my wishful thinking and the idea of a great (?) headline took over. Ah well, maybe it should've said Frogs legs with Bolognaise (source, Football 365).

The Sunday Sun has us "set to sign" Honduran CB, Milton Reyes for #1.5mm - so, if true then this deal for Goma could be on.
They quote Reyes as saying he expects to fly to Tyneside to sign for the toon in the next few days.
I'm not sure BR rates Goma all that highly, but surely he rates him higher than Marcelino?

Too many centre backs spoil the broth?

Obviously Marcelino will be away,(when Robson finds a mug in Spain to sell him to) do you think we would be better off selling Goma and Charvet (out of contract soon) and replacing them with how many , from, Reyes,(they nicked my Exclusive BTW) Dunne, Lawrence? Or do you thionk it will all be on hold for a couple of weeks until the outcome of the transfer review? After all if they wait, then they could pick up a Sol Campbell, Rio Ferninand or Garreth Southgate for Nowt.

I would be highly pissed off if we sold Goma to anyone and replaced him with a Honduran. Come on this is the sort of desperate thing the Monkey Heed does doon the road.

He's coming into form, when he has played a few games he shows us how good he is, why sell him?
