which canon body is better

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

Hi

I want to buy a Canon 300 or a Canon 50e, but I can't make a decision between these two body. I don't need that eyecontrol system, and 300 is much cheaper than 50e, the question is

Is it worth buying the 50e body?

can someone compare the feature of these two body

Thanks

Istvan,

You can compare the features,

The 300 is a great little camera. The 50 offers much better control. For instance with the 50 you can set exposure compensation for your flash, partial metering isn't tied to exposure lock, custom functions allow such things as moving the AF to another button. The list is long, the features are great.

However you might want to look at the new EOS 30/Elan 7 that is replacing the 50. Even btter features, but at increased cost.

I feel kinda "nasty" tonight. I have an A2 and a 650 and like them both, but, in my opinion, the best Canon body every made was the FTb.
