i'm going to Toronto tomorrow

Everything's as packed as it can be, and there's nothing to do but sit here and mellow out while I wait. Paul had to go get a copy of his birth certificate because he never thinks ahead like me. I'm just sitting here listening to one of my ever-present Pavement CDs and thinking of silly questions as fast as I can. I wanted to look pretty, happy, and non-evil for my friends this weekend, but now of course my face is breaking out. I feel like babbling and I should have written a diary entry, probably, but I'm too damned lazy to set it all up and open the thingie and upload the blah blah. I put 2 new links on the links page. You should check them out coz they're really good. Kathy, I'm gonna mail your CD when I get back. I promise I haven't been wearing it out by listening to it or anything. Jackie, I made you a CD anyway. There is nothing to drink in this house and I don't feel like dragging the kids to the store just so I can get a bottle of water that's probably really just tap water anyway. I don't mind sitting here waiting, though. I just wish I could have my Pavement in the bedroom without having to unplug my CD player.

Plus, I've been craving Thai food and watermelon juice. And I dreamed I was feeding all my hamsters and then kittens in hamster houses, too.

Have a fabulous time in Toronto Gwen! I was there this weekend (stuffing my face with Thanksgiving turkey) and the weather was perfect. Crisp, cool, sunny and all the leaves have changed so it looks fantastic. Make sure you have a Coffee Crisp, some Smarties, and an Aero bar. All yummy Cdn chocolate treats.

Gwen did you get the tape yet? I sent it regular postal with a certified number...

Gwen I'm going to make some watermelon juice when you come over. I've been craving it too.

I'm so upset that I can't be with you this time! Will you pretend to be in a Canadian porno with your husband? Do me, eh! Right there, eh!

And don't forget to give Cate's bunnies a hug for me!

Hey Gwenz, if you go shopping in Canada just remember this: The reason they put "100% Virgin Wool" in American clothing is to reassure the consumer that at least THAT SHEEP wasn't raised in Canada. Have a great time. When you get back tell us all aboot it.

I'm pointedly ignoring the Canadian jokes. *grin*

Gwen, have a great time, and be sure to visit stores like Cotton Ginny and Ricki's etc which might satisfy your cravings for merchandise other than what you've seen lately. And it's not going to be that cold, people! It's only October. :) A ilght jacket will be fine. :)

Don't worry you guys. I found this great store called Zeller's!

I listened to your mix CD on the plane from Toronto to London, and on the train home as well. Mostly I repeated Possum Kingdom a few thousand times, but after a few listens I'm already digging it. Success! (And Ian said, 'I'm glad at least one of your friends has decent taste in music,' when I told him Throwing Muses and PJ Harvey was on there.)

Aw! That makes me so happy, Jackie. (And I saw what you wrote in your latest entry, you crazy. I told you -- I wanted to view the porn with you PRIVATELY, eh?)

Thanks for all the good wishes, y'all. They came true. We had such a groovy fucking time. I'm rushing through the forum now, and then I need to write the recap for last night's 7th Heaven. No, I'm not planning to eat a bunch of Canadian candy. Why would you ask that?
