I need answers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

For the last two weeks the topics have been rather thin and we all got caught up in the England wash (sic) I would like to know if Acuna can play on Monday? Can Bassedas Play on Monday? Can glass Play on Monday? and why is Bobby sending off our promising youngsters off on loan to get chinned by lower division minnows. Is this part of the grooming process, by farming them out they gain valuable first team experience as opposed to languishing in the reserves. They come across a better standard of football etc... And what happend to those french guys we signed when you're ready

I don't know who's playing on Monday. For once though it will be on american TV. Did you watch the Fire v Metrostars last week? Razov was lucky not to be offside- Stoitchkov is still an interesting fellow.

And I'm still trying to find somewhere to watch the game on Monday! Been ages since i've seen a decent game. Was so desperate last week, I actually paid the $14.95 extortion fee and got the Arsenal ppv. Not a bad use of money since they won, but still... :-)

Should be heading down to RFK for MLS Cup on Sunday, though. I want Chicago to win, but can't stand Auntie Razov(glad he's off to some 2nd div Spanish side next season, I can like Chicago without reservation again). I guess as long as he doesn't score, I'll be happy. ;-) Then again, for Chicago to win, someone has to beat Meola. hmmmm.

These answers can usually be found on a certain Web site that I won't go on about or link to.

as far as the latest info goes:-

I would like to know if Acuna can play on Monday? Can Bassedas Play on Monday? Can glass Play on Monday?

Acuna work permit won't come through until the middle of next week at the earliest, It will probably be about 3 week (26th Oct I was informed) as the department will want to look closely at the drugs ban closely before granting a permity. Bassedas isn't match fit but has recovered from his broken toe. I think that he will get a start, with lee on the bench coming on when he tires. As for Glass he is also fit again but is unlikely to start , or even get on the bench untill he gets some good perfornmance s in the reserves behind him. Goma and Marcelino are both fit , Goma should start, marcelino might get onto the bench. Griffin should be OK at right back as Barton still isn't 100% . Cort is also still out. As for McClen, it will do him good to get a few proper games in a competative enviroment with Motherwell. As for the French guy, as far as I am aware Olivier Bernard still hasn't had his playing documents from his former club Lyon transfered to NUFC. They (the french) want some sort of fee, NUFC believe he is a free agent. The other new lad is Portuguese, again there could be a problem with his playing documents as he was also free. The young Argie Bonvin along with Bernard and Dimas is likely to play most of the season in the reserves, all of these three are seen as future players, not youngsters to play now, but eventual replacements for the likes of Lee, Speed and Shearer and Barton. Hope this helps...

Indeed he did Spud. .COM indicate that he was subbed by Caldwell G after 27 minutes. Another injury???

Ah....but is that the wind-up that Biffa and Niall promised to catch out the .cock copier.

They are getting p*ss*d off that their work is just being copied and dropped straight onto the .cock site and being passed off as their won work, so they said on the site the other day that they were gonna build in a lie to prove that they are nicking his stuff........so who knows what?

I can understand their annoyance. When I spoke to Biffa at Southampton he was saying that him and Niall are BOTH currently putting in about 40-50 hours a week on the site and they are ALSO holding down a job.......I think I would get narked if I was doing all that and the 'Official' site were just ripping them off.

.......however having said that.....if that report is correct, it's good to see that not only did Bassedas seemingly play a full 90 minutes, he also scored one of the two goals as well.......that has got to be good news.

Wow! I was wondering if they had regular jobs. It certainly seems like they put in tons of time on the site. Do they ever sleep? Very impressive.

The onlytrouble is who do we believe now. For instance for the Bolton reserve match most reports say Glass socred both goals, whereas NUFC.com say Brady and Bassedas were the scorers with Glass not even playing!

Looks like their latest plan may have backfired.
