Hi, I fancy going down to West Ham on the 28th for the weekend and I was just wondering if anyone knew the best/cheapest hotel to book. All help very much appreciated.

Why? We always play horribly and the place is horrid.

Then again, the Toon Army just about makes it worthwhile. Fantastic singing in spite of what's happening on the pitch. Only end I heard the time I had to sit amongst home fans, and just about lost my voice when sat in the away end last April. :-)

Not sure of hotels that might have relatively decent proximity to transport out to West Ham, but there's a few relatively inexpensive places around Paddington Station. I think the place I stayed at once is called The Shakespeare. Not fancy, but clean and around 60 pounds a night(I think..that was 2yrs ago) for an ensuite twin.

Have to agree with Ciara on that one. There are some quiet PL grounds. In fact, apart from sides that have just been promoted and the supporters are all giddy, they are all quiet. However, West Ham fans are worst for being silent until they score then having the nerve to say "You're not singing any more". A commentator on MOTD said the same thing the other day. And that f....g piped version of Bubbles. Worse than the piped version of "You'll never walk alone" at Anfield.

That MOTD comment Douggie was when we played 'em.....the sarcasm in his voice could not be disguised.....and rightly so. Nearly got mesel' arrested that afternoon :-)
