And yours would be?

That's a feckin' joke, isn't it??? Neville P?? Surely not. Wise, Parlour, Heskey? Sheri's obviously there with an eye to the future. Nurse, I need a stiff one.

Ho ho ho LR ... Id have Martyn Dyer Owen and Phillips in there chum , why who would you pick Monsieur provocateur ?

Screach.....Neville P does a stirling job for us when asked....he would have been twice as effective as Southgate in the middle on Saturday. I go along with Wise too, although I have to share your concerns over Parlour. Heskey is a liability in the same mould as Mickey Silvestre!!!! Can't see a problem with the Teddy - Cole link either. We ARE in a mess...it may take a mess to get us out of it :-)

DYER!!!! he was totally ineffective when he replaced Neville G on Saturday. Philips in place of Heskey WITHOUT doubt...ANYONE in place of Seaman. However.....Dyer's crap performance on Saturday was paralleled by at least 9 other crap performances so I'm not having a go at Dyer alone.

This all depends on the formation. 3-4-3!!! That's the way

Seaman Southgate-Keown-Barry

Parlour-Wise-Scholes-Neville

Sheringham

Cole Heskey

Same old problem of no left sided players in there. It's a shame Dyer doesn't get a start but he must be useful in the super-sub with Owen as well.

It doesn't look THAT bad DB when laid out in formation...except I can STILL see the names Parlour and Heskey :-(

Dyer is certainly far less creative than Wise and Parlour so there's no point in putting him in there eh .. what we need is a load of bulldozers aye that should do the trick ... NOT !!!!

LR - Neville P has been asked to do a job many times for England. Almost without fail, he has failed to do so - if you get my meaning. I'd have had Scholes, Cole and maybe Sheri up front, with probably Cole a bit further forward. I'd have played Le Saux on the left, tho don't mind Barry being there instead. I'd have played the other Ugly Sister at RB. Midfield would have been Dyer, Macca and one more (can't remember who is left!) along with Scholes/Sheri. Seamn should be chopped - in two ways at least, and replaced by Martyn.

There, that's sorted. Mind, it's a good job my selection doesn't count towards the TeamPick compy.

Le Saux and G Neville are both injured for this game. Otherwise they would both have been selected I think. Wilko hasn't a lot to work with due to the lack of defensive midfielders and full backs on offer.

He could have selected others up front and maybe Dyer but apart from that I don't think there are too many options. As I say Dyer and Owen will be kept for the last 25 mins, I reckon.

Of course it all depends on the formation because there are a number of permutations in that team, influencing the positions of players like Sheringham, Parlour, Barry, P Neville and Scholes.

Controversial, but if he can call up Sheringham...

Martyn

Southgate Keown Barry

Dyer Wise Gascoigne Barmby

Scholes

Phillips Owen

On reflection, which side would you prefer to see representing England, the one picked by Keegan on Saturday or the one picked to face Finland?

Different opposition but with the 3-4-3 approach the result might just come. What has Wilko got to lose! Lets face it Finland are no Germany, in their Euro 2000 qualifying group they lost all four games against Turkey and Germany (Home and Away games).

Ok Screach...you've NEVER been a fan of eith of the Ugly Sisters so I'll leave it there :-)

Bottom line DB..NUFC should be able to beat bleedin' Finland ...let alone England.

Obviously, but that's cos NUFC would have Shearer playing :0)
