Bet there's uproar over there. He's supposed to be as popular in Lima as Al is with us.

This raises the question...do we want internationals in our team if we're just going to complain about their commitments? We were all proud and defensive for Shearer during his England captaincy, but deep down I was happy to see him walk off in one piece.

Surely being an international is a sign of quality, or would we rather not take the risk of unavailability, injury, overplayed etc?

Personally, I'd be happy to see no internationals, providing they were good enough for us (e.g. Ginola B.W (Before Whinging)).
