if he did, who would get wor job? Remember all the commentaries after Gullit's departure saying that it was the second most appalling job in football after the England job? I suppose it'd have to be Terry Bleeding Venables.

Aal reet, keep yer wool on, was only a hypothetical question. However, presumably it'll be sooner rather than later that YBR will go. Who will replace him? I hope it's not Shearer. Suicide. Actually, I bet what's offended YBR was some get calling him a Mackem in the Sunday Sun last week...

Hypothetically speaking like? Gordon Milne or Mick Wadsworth - seriously.

And I certainly wouldn't have Terry Vegetables!! he's a blood sucking money grabber who's taken his past 3 clubs to the brink of extinction Palace, Portsmouth and Spurs! and given exactly what in return?

Nah make him England manager that's what I say...

I would count my fingers after shaking hands with him, but Venables is the obvious choice...just as Keegan was at the time.

Not actually bothered, so long as Dyer is fit for us next Monday.

He's going nowhere.

Change your attitude regarding NUFC please! Remember when Bobby stated what the Barcelona chairman said to him regarding a NUFC approach, 'Managers dont sack Barca, Barca sack managers.' THE SAME IS SAID FOR THE TOON. THE TOON IS A NATION IN ITSELF - JUST LIKE BARCA AND ENGLAND.

Anyway didn't Bobby always say he honours contracts?

WHO THE FECK ARE ENGLAND. I DONT GIVE A FECK ABOUT LUXURY INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL.

International football will one day be no more - mark my words. It's growing more an more outdated to go with the modern game. How long are football clubs going to put up with the FA injuring their expensive players? Franz beckenbaur (Sp?) once even said words to that effect about 5 year ago!

Please let the Mackems on RTG question Reidy though........;,)

Before international football goes down the drain someone is going to have to find an equally-attractive and equally-remunerative alternative to the World Cup -phoenix

I really enjoy international football and I`d be sorry to see an end to it. (:o(

I enjoy the major tournaments but really can't see the point of friendlies. It used to be the rarity of international games that made them such good fun. I mean, how excited can these South American countries really get about their 16th WC qualifier?
