I have SAD (seasonal affective disorder). When the trees begin to show color and then drop leaves until the jonquils and forsythia bloom, is the moodiest time of year for me. I take the proper dosage of medication, when I should -- even so the black curtains threaten to fall. The good part is, come spring I am jubilant and joyful.

Fall takes something away from me, too. I think my mood improves in spring because there is so much hope associated with the season.
