26th October for a work permit application verdict!??

I have a good feeling about this lad. Experienced international for a decent team whose primary duties in midfield are defensive. Every top club has one and now we can go on from here.

Pit Bill, have you seen Cordone in photo's?

Exactly Pit Bill, hopefully he has the hard man attitude. I like to hear things like "I like to get forward every now and then but my main duties are defensive".

We need a link between Defence and attacking Midfielders, a point proven by the performance of the team when Rob Lee is in the side. Our defenders are not good enough to waltz out of defence spraying the ball to the wings.

If this fella makes it into the team I don't mind few suspensions because Rob Lee can provide the back up, mind you given our disciplinary record this season YBR will soon iron out any yellows he might pick up.

Oh and I'm not condeming Bobby Lee to the scrapheap but he needs to be more of a squad player this season and a defensive minded midfielder will funnily enough give us more options in attack as there is no confusion as to who stays at the back.

Ancuna, Bassedas, Lee, Speed and Dyer all vying for central midfield positions, hmmm much better than the days of Brady, Hamilton and Georgiadis as back up.

A lot more promise as you say Kegsy. Someone's going to be disappointed unless we start playing three in the middle, but even then!

We just need a commanding centre half now, although there are persistent rumours around about Michael Bridges 'coming home' - although I forgot, he reckon's he's not a Geordie (or was it, not a Tynesider?)!
Despite his dubious background, I'd love to see him in B&W.

I saw those Clarky. Mr Ridsdale at Leeds has ruled out a move. Can't see it happening but a good player and he would be welcome in the side.

Commanding Centre half is a requirement, hopefully a British one, I think we're overdosing on South Americans now.

you can never have too much south american :-)

You're right Doug, they all look as though a sense of humour, or even wind, wouldn't come amiss.
