Seemed pretty tame, actually, compared to some of what we've seen around here. To each his (or her) own, I suppose...

You should ask Dubya. An administrator there.

Best wishes,,,,

Do all Y2k board moderators hate the free exchange of ideas? Do they all punish the few who disagree by abusing their power?

Andy Ray

AR:

If you think about it a moment, you'll realize there's not much more for a moderator to do. Which means there isn't any other reason to want to be a moderator.

She let Lord Richard say tits one time. Actually he said it twice.

I said muff diving.

-- KoFE (your@town.USA), October 08, 2000.

KOFE, were you banned?

-- cin (cin@=0.)), October 08, 2000.

Hec no, Cin. I've been good. I just like to say muff diving. It's rather poetic, I think.

Here's another one of those well-knowntroublem akers always complaining about censorship. Taken from this thread.

I see that Dennis has had the hammer come down on him now. Sooner or later everyone will have been deleted, well, except for any of the moderators.

Spain, meet Kofe. Kofe, meet Spain.

Poor Flint n' Andy...they're just dyin' to kick those anthills at the protected TB2K forum.

LOL. Some things never change.

Spoken like someone who has never sat in the moderator's seat. I have seen firsthand the many disruptive tricks played on this forum (mostly through the use of HTML commands) that can only be cleaned up effectively by the moderator. Then there are the obsessive cut-and-paste disruptors, who post 60K of the same anti-IRS rant to every thread, rendering them unusable.

OTFR, if you are about, would you care to comment on this?

-- Brian McLaughlin (brianm@ims.com), October 09, 2000.

Brian,

I've taken a quick look at the EZboard thread mentioned above, and the only comment I care to make is that I am not stressed as Old Git seems to be, and can't feel her pain. But then, I'm not running a private club either. If I were, I suspect that with the mix of people posting on this forum, it might have drove me insane trying to steer the forum to my own standards and liking.
