I've just really read this properly and I think we may be doing Dave down a bit too much.

In the thread tiotle he uses the word Wank and then in the message text he refers to Cox.......mistake or deliberate....we need to know.

I'll toss away the Freudian implications of Dave's typo, and simply say no.
I loved the man when he was here, felt personally let down when he walked out, and feel his desertion of Engerlund, four days before a major international, is unforgivable.
It's generally a mistake to go backwards anyway, but in this instance I'm afraid we simply couldn't trust the man not to simply bugger off as soon as the going got tough.
As for Wainkem, Blinkem & Nod, I feel a good part of KK's failure with England is down to him being overly loyal to a coaching staff that may have supported him fine at Club level but were totally and utterly lost at international level.
We may have some natural reservations about AS taking over from BR as Toon Manager, but his instincts immediately after the Germany game were spot on - what was vitally important was for the manager to spend time with his players and immediately begin rebuilding their confidence for the Finland game. What was the 'spineless one' doing at that critical time? Thinking purely of himself, and preparing his resignation interview, that's what!

I couldn't agree more Clarky......great when he was here but we have moved on.....I've said the same about giving Vegetables the England job.....why go back when the future is ahead, not behind.

No - I wouldn`t want him back - though it breaks my heart to say so. I don`t think we could have a better man for the job than the one we have now. I am assuming wor Bobby would be considered too old for the England job - if not, I`ll fight anyone who tries to take him away from us!!!(:o)
