I've had enough...I'm outta here.

Apparently, I'm not good enough for you guys anymore. At least my computer isn't. I don't think it's worth my time to submit recordings anymore. Most of my good recordings are deleted simply because my computer has been unable to handle the games at full speed (and more should follow because you guys are VERY lax in deletions), and when I have a legal recording, I get the shit kicked out of me, and it's not worth my time to even submit when I'm barely able to score 10 points on a game. I used to have fun, but now, I don't. So I'm leaving. Preferably, I want my scores erased ASAP, and that won't hurt anyone, because I'm not a good player, I'm only good at is trivia, but frankly, that's a joke. This place is no longer worth my time. I'm outta here...and you can't stop me.

No one can stop you, but I'm very sad to see you go, Sports Dude is perhaps the most humble of all players, who uploads the best they can do at all times, doesn't leech, and always had something good to say until now.

I can say it was wrong of him to upload a reduced speed recording, but it is OBVIOUS that there are HUNDREDS, probably thousands of other reduced speed recordings uploaded to marp. And Sports Dude is the ONLY ONE to honestly admit it! and for this we (the editors) lash at him and say "So why did you upload this recording anyway?" This is indeed a sick affair.

hoepfully in the next few months a fresh wind will come over marp, definite foreshadowing intended, for there is a big and good change in the works.

I personally welcome SportsDude back if he ever chooses to come back, again.

then, you should send another better and qualifable one.

some people can't get their parrents to get them a new better computer every so often. so, the answer is not to make a better recording for slow games, you have to play games which are faster. that's not why he's leaving though.

The whole high score business is a tricky venture at best. One is rarely 100% sure that stuff is genuine or not. I for one have sniffed out a couple of suspect scores and/or recordings. It's disheartening to see someone on top whom you know may not belong there....

Its the same in any competition - sports, games, etc. I have yet to see a game or contest that you couldn't somehow "cheat" in. Just like in the Olympics - you have these people pumping on steroids to get medals and break records. You have to think for every one they catch, theres another who got away with it.

I for one am hoping that time will heal all wounds, as it were. Granted, it took 16 years for my pac-man title to be officially documented, but it finally got there. I'm not saying that it will take all cases 16 years to iron out, I'm just saying we all have to keep an eye out and continue doing the best we can....
